Who we are

This is the Privacy Policy for Incorgnito Releases ("we," "us," "our"), available at https://incorgnito.cc (the "Site"). We're a small, volunteer-run project, and this page explains what data the Site actually collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. It's written to match the tools genuinely running behind the Site rather than generic boilerplate.

Information we collect

The Site is read-only for visitors: there's no sign-in, account system, or comments, so there's no user-submitted data for us to collect in the first place. Here's what happens automatically when you visit:

Traffic (Cloudflare). The Site is self-hosted and runs behind Cloudflare, a content-delivery and security network. As part of routing every request and protecting the Site from bots, scraping, and denial-of-service attacks, Cloudflare processes standard technical data for each visit: IP address, approximate location, browser/device information, and request timestamps. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy; we don't receive or retain it ourselves.

Analytics (Umami). We use Umami, a self-hosted, open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool, to see aggregate stats: which posts get read, roughly how much traffic the Site gets. Umami is built to avoid identifying individuals: by default it doesn't use cookies, doesn't assign a persistent ID, and doesn't track visitors across sessions or across other sites. This anonymized, aggregated data is the only thing we keep.

Cookies. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Since there's no sign-in or account system, we don't set any login or session cookies either.

Donations. Our Contribute page lists public addresses for several cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Monero, Bitcoin Cash) plus a Lightning Network address via Alby, for anyone who wants to support the project. We don't collect your name, email, or billing details for a donation made this way. Keep in mind that most public blockchains are, by design, public: a transaction can generally be traced using the sending and receiving addresses regardless of anything we do. Monero is a partial exception, since it's built for stronger transaction privacy.

How we use this information

We use the above only to:

Keep the Site running, fast, and secure
Understand, in aggregate, what content people find useful
Process voluntary contributions

We don't sell data, run ads, or build advertising profiles.

Sharing and disclosure

We don't share visitor data with anyone beyond Cloudflare's own transient processing described above. If we were ever legally required to disclose something, there's very little to disclose: our only retained data is the anonymized, aggregated Umami analytics, which isn't tied to any individual visitor.

Security

We rely on Cloudflare for protection against common web threats and aim to keep the underlying Ghost installation up to date. Because we don't retain visitor data beyond anonymized, aggregated analytics, there's very little on our end that could be exposed in the first place.

Your rights and choices

Because we don't retain anything beyond anonymized, aggregated analytics, there's no individual record tied to you for us to access, correct, or delete, since none was ever created in the first place. If you've messaged us directly and want that removed, just ask.

International visitors

The Site is available worldwide. Serving a page to you, and Cloudflare routing that request, may involve your data passing through infrastructure outside your home country, even though we don't retain it afterward.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the tools or services behind the Site change. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
