Liella! 4th LoveLive! Tour ~brand new Sparkle~ 5yncri5e! ver. (1080p)

And the final leg of Liella’s 4L tour comes to a close with announcements! 5L in Jan/Feb 2024 (so soon!) and Season 3 confirmed for 2024!!!

Aside from the announcements, we enjoyed much of the same sets with just a few tweaks here and there during the solo sections. 5yncri5e! also had their chance to shine, and boy did they ever! Aweosme choreography, impressive vocal power and stability (looking at you Emorin), and an interesting(?) WaWD arrangement that’s been growing on me. Beyond that, it’s great seeing everyone break out of their shells more and more. So many power-ups this tour.

The second leg of Liella’s 4th Live Tour is in the books, and what a weekend it wound up being!

Throughout this weekend, we got Nonchan getting revenge on Beginners Rock, a teddy bear that didn’t want to cooperate with Liyuu, and oh my god CatChu!

Honestly, the album doesn’t do their sound justice. Take a listen to their songs on the release, then take a listen to just how raw the performance is (especially on day 2) live. It’s a completely different level of intensity and passion you just can’t convey through a recorded medium. Some of the best performances so far from Paychan, Sayurin, and especially Yabuchan who has clearly leveled up her game.

Because of the larger source files from e+, I will be providing both 1080p and 720p versions of my uploads whenever e+ is the source.

Liella! 4th LoveLive! Tour ~brand new Sparkle~ KALEIDOSCORE ver. (720p)

And Liella’s fourth live series is officially underway!

This live saw a number of firsts, most notably Yuina and Saku-chan performing on stage with the other nine members! Lots of emotions this weekend, especially for Saku-chan, who was riding a wave of firsts.

This weekend also saw a few new 11-member versions of songs, KALEOIDOSCORE’s first few performances (with hand mics!!!), and Kumachan’s hair doing whatever it damn well pleased on Day 1.

I elected to swap to e+ from PIA for this live, as I wanted to compare quality. The source from e+ definitely seems better when compared to PIA source, but obtaining a usable copy of the file that actually grabbed all chunks of the file proved to be more difficult than it should have been. I’ve reviewed the files, though, and I don’t see anything glaring about them. Considering these are H.265 re-encodes of the originals, you shouldn’t encounter any playback issues or artifacting beyond what was present in the source.

Liella! First LoveLive Tour ~Starlines~ [720p h.265]

We are back with re-encodes! It’s still insane to me that Liella got their start with their major lives not even a year and a half ago, and that when they started, were as solid as they were. And even though cheering was forbidden back then, the crowd was still able to make it very clear how much they backed Liella.

The 720p re-encode has managed to drop the file size a fair bit farther than the over 50% size decrease from the original release to my 1080p re-encode. That being said, the 720p rip is only ~6 GB smaller than the 1080p re-encode, but I know that for some people, that little bit makes all the difference

Liella! First LoveLive Tour ~Starlines~ [1080p h.265]

We are back with re-encodes! It’s still insane to me that Liella got their start with their major lives not even a year and a half ago, and that when they started, were as solid as they were. And even though cheering was forbidden back then, the crowd was still able to make it very clear how much they backed Liella.

As with most of my 1080p re-encodes, I was able to lop quite a bit off of the original file size. With the original weighing in at a comparatively whopping 65 GB, this h.265 re-encode with my usual settings cuts that to just short of 26 GB, saving over 50% of the original space. Do keep in mind that this is a re-encode of a re-encode, so some small quality loss is expected, but shouldn’t be very noticeable at all.

Love Live! Superstar!! Liella! 3rd LoveLive! Tour ~WE WILL!!~ (Saitama FINAL Leg) (Day.1&2)

What a weekend.

Liella’s first live with cheering allowed, at a show just for them, and it was nothing short of amazing. The nine members of Liella were met with overflowing support from the crowd, both in person and online, and you could tell just how much getting to hear the reactions from the crowd meant to each and every one of them. I’m not sure there was a single eye left completely dry by the end of the weekend, for various reasons, and the end result was further proof that Liella belongs, and that the Love Live community will be behind them, pushing them forward.

Tokyo leg complete!

We got to enjoy more time with some of our favorite school idols. With much of the same set as the first streamed showing, there isn’t much to add that wasn’t in the Miyagi leg, but the performances were great, Liella and Yuina owned their respective performances, and now we can get hyped for the first ever concert they get to hear the crowd, after all the time they’ve been performing, when they go to Saitama.

Liella! Season 1 Opening and Ending Online Release Event [1080p h.265]

It feels a little late to be posting this, considering we’re now officially two seasons (with a third on the way) and four new members up from where we were when this event happened, but this was one of the few items from the ONIBE collection of uploads that I had not yet touched.

Hop in your time capsule and teleport back to the first major live event Liella put on, where they introduced themselves, their music, and began the journey on which many of us has joined them.

I was able to chop the file size down from 9.89 GB to 3.59 GB, all while retaining almost all visual fidelity. In the future, I plan on calculating PSNR, SSIM, and VMAF scores for my re-encodes to provide metrics on exactly how close to the original version my encode looks.

Playback has been tested on the latest versions of VLC Media Player, MPV, and MPC-HC as of December 7, 2022.
